I think I started shaving when I was like 13. My mom didn't say anything about it because I've always been really hairy. I think it just depends on with what is comfortable for the both of you and what doesn't open the window for "haters" to say something about her. If you don't feel comfortable with the idea of her shaving don't allow her to do it. If it's just because you know it will grow back then you should go ahead and let her do what is needed. She doesn't even need to really shave though. She could use any other product that removes hair from Nair to professional waxing.

First off, I hope this a mom using her husband's account, because if not, I'm not sure how I feel about you asking this question.
Second, if your daughter is embaressed by the hair on her legs, then PLEASE have your wife show her how to properly do it.
My mom told me I was too young at 11 even though I had legs as hariy as a some men's. What did I do, you might ask? I sat on the floor one night with her razor and shaved my legs -- no water, no shaving cream. I'm surprised I didn't end up with a thousand nicks. My mom didn't even noticed for another month.
Please don't let that happen to your daughter. If she's asking about it, then she's ready. Don't try to stop her from growing up just because you're not ready to let her.

I really hope you mean her legs. Well, if you do you should allow her to shave them. It is going to be beneficial to her and if she feels uncomfortable with her image then you should allow it. Yes it will grow back thicker and faster however the same thing will occur ten years from now or now it does not matter. It is better to start at an early stage so she is able to become comfortable and will be used to doing this on a regular basis. Overall I am trying to say, "LET HER SHAVE SHAVE SHAVE" "SHAVE THAT BEAUTY AWAY" Sorry i was on a roll. I hope that my advice will help

If she is worried about wearing skirts because she is embarrassed by her "fuzz down there" then I think you need to worry more about the length of the skirts she intends to wear than the whole shaving issue.

well first of all the myth about shaving and it coming in thicker or more is not always true.......i started at 11 or 12 and to this day my hair is very fine and barely comes in, i now only shave like 1-2 a week......thats it !! But if she has dark hair it can be more noticeable, use ur own judgement....but not b4 12 is my advice

I know what you mean. I hated being the bad guy too. My 11 year old played soccer last year and I told her no not until 12 but, one night she did it any way. She came out with nic's and tried to tell me the cat did it. (ya right)
Well, we talk and she admitted what she did. As her "punishment" for not telling the truth and doing it with out permission. I made her let her hair grow all the way out. About 2 months. Then I took her in the bath room and taught her how to do it right.

I would say around middle school. You. said she is getting older why not and go ahead and let her shave. If she showers everyday there should be no problem where she could find the "time" to shave.
