Living - you got a reason to live.
Existing - no reason to live - sad!

We all exist whether where rich or poor. You exist whether it's for some divine rule or for fate. You shouldn't have to wake and think another day but then again there's no rule for living life. The difference is existing is a fight to be the strongest to survive. Living is being who you are and getting on with life. Don't exist because you have to live because you want to :-)

You have to be kidding!?

Major....major....difference !

Think about this, have you got a life threatening condition, with a limited time to live. Maybe you might look at the whole deal a lot differently, cos this MIGHT happen to you one day, and you will kick your self for taking life so much for granted.

Take time to smell the flowers, watch a cloud, take a deep deep breath, and feel it!!!!

This is it sweetheart, no dress rehearsal, make the most of every day, its a gift that some would kill for!

Yes you are existing, if you have to ASK, think about it.

Living is relating with ones environment (people, activities and so on) and influencing things and events around you and most especially hopeful about the future.
On the other hand, existing is staying alive, surviving (doing the basics like eating, drinking), passing time, not especially focused on any wants or needs for the future.

To exist is just to be there, irrespective of anyone or anything, it is an action of non-response, which continues to remain the same continuously. Living is being able to take part in what is happening all around you, to add to the joy and variety of life, for yourself and other people, to fill your day with interest and to eagerly await the arrival of to-morrow.

I'm living, because I have a lot to live for, my husband, my children, my ongoing training to be a counsellor, and my religious faith.

However many years ago I felt I was just 'existing' because I had nothing in my life that meant anything, I couldn't see any good in me or in other people. I was depressed, and needed counselling to help me out of the hole I was in.

Hopes, plans, and dreams.

If you have none then you are simply just existing. If you do have some, then you are living to fulfil that dream.

The question then arises what are we "living" for?
