My friends and I were talking about this the other day. Not just that, but compared to kids nowadays, how did we survive childhood riding a bike with no helmet, no kneepads when we skated, nothing under our swing sets but cement or dirt and rocks. Our moms put us to sleep on our stomachs and we rode in cars with no car sets or even seat belts. If we broke a bone or fell out of a tree, no one thought about suing anyone. If we tried out for cheerleading or Little League and didn't make it, our parents didn't call someone complaining...we learned to live with disappointment.

It all makes me fear for kids these days. What are we coming to?

That was beofre this nation turned from the Lord and the truth. Where the law was enforced and corruption was not the norn in government.
An old quote; "The more numerous the laws, the more corrupt the state."

Would you believe we didn't even have to lock our doors? And our police were armed only with truncheons. I could leave my bicycle at the back entrance to the school, unlocked, and have no fear of it being stolen.
