I am not religious, but I do study the structure of religions, and I am aware in Catholicism along with general Christianity, one of the main focuses is to not be prideful, and be humble to God. I mean no offense to anyone Catholic when I ask the question, but in what ways is the pope teaching people to be a humble person?

He's not. If Jesus came back today, he would not recognize the papacy as being related in any way to his teachings.
To follow Christ, and teach others, as the pope is supposed to do, you must set an example.

What is the point in being humble? What is the good of being humble? It is better to be yourself, than pretend to be what you are not. People can be nice people and still not be humble. The Pope can do what he likes and lead who he likes to do whatever he wants them to. But I will not be one of them.
