I have heard of throwing the bones,in religion of Voodoo/Voudon,and also by some African tribes. Also in Peru. But how about the United States?

I have heard of 'throwing the bones' in the VooDoo culture/religion. I think things like that work if you believe they will. I also remember that crazy guy on the movie, Predator 2 'throwing the bones', but other than that I am not familiar.

Throwing the bones is not that common in Haitian Vodou. I do however know that Mambo Mariam in New Orleans uses the bones for readings. She is a Vodoun and Yoruba Priestess. The bones are a form of divination in Yoruba. I would think to learn them you would have to contact someone that uses them and learn from them. Most forms of ritual diviantion are passed down in the religion and not usally taught to those that are not part of the religion.
