Do you have a store called Platos closet in your area? It is a thrift store that buys and sells clothes.

If you are trying to find something beautiful on a budget (we have all been there) look online at websites like www.ebay.com. Also, try your local good will and thrift shops. Many people do not like that idea but it can save you hundreds of dollers, you will be amazed at some of the things you can find there.

Another option is talk to your friends and family. There are alot of people that buy a dress to wear for a prom and then it stays in thier closet for years. Maybe someones sisters cousin has a dress, if you get the word out that you are on a budget and looking for a drss you might just find someone that knows someone that has a dress they are willing to sell cheap or simply let you borrow for free.

Department stores and sales can also provide you with a dress at a cheaper price. Start scouting malls and stores in your area for sales.

Hope you find a dress that makes you feel as beautiful as you are!

Check your local phone book for thrift stores, consignment stores, resale shops, and of course the Good Will. These places sell clean, used or new dresses that may have been never worn or worn once. Most are under $20-$30 for a dress that may still have the store tags left on them. Good luck! :o)

Try your local thrift or consignment stores. It may seem yucky and gross, but usually the garments are clean, and you can always wash (or dry-clean) them just to be sure. If you go to enough stores, you'll probably find something. I've seen truly beautiful gowns in the dresses section of some of the "upscale" thrift stores in town. Check to see if there is a Buffalo Exchange in your area-they're kind of known for having fashionable, cheap stuff (at least in my city).

Definitely Ebay!!! I love ebay.....I bought my daughter a flower girl dress on there for less than $40 bucks and we got so many compliments!!! She then turned around and wore it to a school dance.....got compliments....then turned around and wore the same dress in her first pageant and won!!!! Ebay is the way to go and you can normally find dresses so cheap that you can still afford to take it to the dry cleaner and get it professioanally cleaned!!! Good luck
