my friend is having the same prob.is this our fault lol or should i call my cable company.we dont use the same provider.

You should call the ISP and find out with them if they are having problems in your area or not. Most times you call them if they actually have a problem in your area you end up with free month of service or a couple weeks , so unless you think its your ISP give them a call you better of that way and you start somewhere and know which one it is you provider or your computer.

Broadband should always be on. If it doesn't work, it is the cable company. Call them and go through their routines and get a person and state the problem. They should fix it...
