Have you overlooked Panama and Grenada?? Not to mention the first Iraqi war and world wars 1 an 2. By the way we have won the war in Iraq for a second time but the peace is giving us a problem. The official government has taken power but the division between factions is keeping things in turmoil.

They won the civil war. Ah, but then they lost it at the same time.

It depends on what you mean by successful. They have successfully created loads of conflicts, as well as helping military juntas overthrow democratically elected countries.
Their major arms manufacturers have made a fortune out of the conflicts caused. Does that count as success?

Just wanted to poitn out the Americans DID not win WW1 and II the allied forces did. As someone whos family served there and was not American I find it insulting that just because you showed up at the end the propoganda said you won it.

You did make a lot of money on it from selling the allied forces supplies. And got yourself out of the depression. There was a reason Japan attacked pearl harbour.

Not the war of 1812 as many seem to think, this was a draw

I think the last time was WWII against the Japanese.

It seems to me that every conflict since then, the U.S. pulls out before the victor has been declared. Korean War...Police Action...withdrawal. Vietnam...withdrawal. Desert Storm? Maybe a victory but sort of a withdrawal also. What do you think?

The Boston tea party, they whupped us, but I don't suppose that they teach that in history any more? That is on top of other successes that America has had. We have lost a few, so have got nothing to shout about.

war of independance

nobody won in ww1 or ww2
does anybody know how many people died in the 1st world war more people died than all the other wars added together billions of people on both sides were murdered thats not winning

so america won world war2 as well? what planet do you live on hitler was that close to winning he tried to kill everybody he didnt like seems to me that he managed quite a lot of it

personally i wouldnt call either of them a victory
