In regards to your question, it is racist to hate Mexicans. Because they are a race. Though there are some, like my grandfather, who are of pure Spanish descent, most are mestizos, a mixture of Spanish, Aztec, and Mayan blood. I'm technically a mestizo.

In regards to other Hispanics, the same rule applies. Each has it's own individual race, so hating them is racist.

Hating an entire race is racist. They're sorta blurring the line between illegal Mexican immigrants and all Mexicans. When they say "i hate immigrants" you'll notice later they'll say something about Mexicans, Mexicans aren't the only illegal immigrants.
