April 1996. I was touring with a theatrical production in Europe and we had a sit-down in Milan, Italy, for three weeks. I was dating a man in the building, performing in the show sporadically, and otherwise just loving life -- one day I took a train to Venice and spent the day by myself just wandering and exploring. Everything in the Universe felt right -- right place, right age, right time. I was so happy, I cried.

Since then, I've had many happy moments, but none that felt so perfectly RIGHT. Age issues creep in, self-judgements, etc. We have bigger challenges as we get older.

I love your question, though, b/c it has reminded me that that feeling exists and I can't wait to get back there -- I am now determined!!

With my life, I am happy all the time. With the world scene, I do my best to make it better. I can't be totally satisfied with that. Then again, happiness is a state of mind that all can remain in once they realize the things of this society are all pointless and the only thing that matters is what kind of good you are capable of doing.

This guy sounds like he enjoys the chase more than the girl or the relationship. I'm not going to tell you to stay away, but be careful -- guys like this always end up hurting their significant others. I hope all goes well for you on whatever path you take and I completely sympathize with you sucky high school unrequited love becuase something like this happened to me too. Good Luck.

When i was in Nerja,(spain) We were at my favourite Irish cafe and this guy who played music there, who i had been smiling at for the last 3 days when he was playing, came over to me when he was done playing, and he started talking to me, i was so happy i started laughing, he was so nice and there was a connection between us, i liked him quite a lot, i'd definetly go to that bar again ;) lol. It made me fully happy.
