I do not understand why guys are wearing earrings in their ears. This seems to be popular trend lately. Back when I was in high school three years ago, they wore them as well. But, now it seems more popular. Sometimes I see them wearing one in one ear. Sometimes I see them wearing two earrings in both ears.Sometimes I see more than more than two earring pieced.
I know why females do it to be feminite. Why do guys do it? Is it now a new popular fashion trend or something? Or, is it something else? Or, they trying to express something?

Men have been wearing earrings longer than women have been wearing pants.
Women don't wear earrings to be feminine, they're accessories...jewlery. Last time I checked, it was perfectly acceptable for men to wear jewelry.

No, women don't do it to be feminine. It has nothing to do with femininity. We do it to decorate our bodies. Same reason why I might wear a ring, or get a tattoo. It's a primordial need to be attractive to members of the opposite sex, which almost every species feels.

And the same reasoning applies for men...If you're looking for examples, try looking at mallard ducks, or peacocks.

BTW, it's been popular (at least) since I was in high school in the 80's. Where ya been? This isn't even remotely a new trend.

Sailors traditionally got one piercing everytime they crossed the equator. It was a mark of accomplishment and machismo.

Back in the 80's one in the left ear was ok or one in both, for straight males. One in the right ear only was a sign or homosexuality. These too were a badge of masculinity and rebelion, and way before the "bling" era.

Now I have 4 in the left and 3 in the right and wouldn't change.

Apparently they think its cool or fashionable. Personally, I think God gave me enough holes in my body when I was born. But I don't think bad of other guys for wearing them, I mean if people keep saying were all equal then why can't guys shove pointy objects through their ears if women can?

Men wear earrings in the ears the same reason women do....simply for adornment.

I am trying to be funny, but how old are you! History is repeating itself, boys wore earring about 10 to 20 years ago as well. It wasnt cute then either. But blame it on mainstream media and the celebs who don 40k in their ears.

adult men do it the two techniques, do exactly not positioned on gauges. in case you place on it on one ear, be careful, in case you place on it on one ear... i forgot if it quite is top or left... you're surprisingly plenty saying you're gay

Maybe they're trying to show they have a feminine side? Wearing one ring in one ear used to be considered ok, but one in each ear was a big no-no.
