Im older now and Coach my sons youth football team and it excites me to relive my youth and the good old days...The friendship and bond amongst "US' as players on the team ...its really cool...Im still connected to some of my former teammates 5 of us Coach at different levels!!Its so motivational to me......how about you?

I am 21 and am a junior in college. Seeing that movie, any other football movie, or any football game gives me the chills. I miss it so much. The brotherhood of guys. Relying and depending on one another. The fun pranks we had and hard hits. Oh man i miss it. I try to play some tackle football with the guys from my church every saturday and i play flag on Wednesday nights, but its just not the same.

Went to 2 High Schools. the Vallejo Apaches (Go, Fight , Win!)...an Apache Chief and the Galt Warriors (Coincidentally, Another Indian Chief) I guess there isn't a lot of variety in Northern California. My Junior High one was the ThunderBirds (though I hear they changed it...losers), which I thought was cooler than the other two.

I totally understand. Though I didn't play I did sell suckers in the stands for choir and danced at half-time for drill. It was great. Now I live close to the school and every Friday I hear the sounds and see the lights...it brings it all back.

No...high school freaking sucked!
Please encourage the kids you work with to be friends with other people on campus, because everyone who's there needs friends, not just the "popular" people.
BTW, thanks for being a coach...there are a lot of kids out there who need the support of adults, and I totally appreciate that you're willing to spend your "free" time with them!
