Europe is the epitome of "awesome". And yes--it will be a good experience no matter where you go next summer! I have been living in Germany for more than three years, and in that time (other than traveling all over Germany, of course), I've been to France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland, UK (Northern Ireland), Spain, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovenia, and last weekend I was in Slovakia and Hungary. I hope to visit a few more before I return home to the US... in particular, Romania, Bulgaria, and perhaps Poland--but that all depends on how much time I get to do that. See as much as you can, and don't be afraid to try something new--odds are you'll be glad you did :) If you're interested in some place in any of the countries I've mentioned, you can send me a message... I've got literally thousands of pictures from everyplace I've been (my current Yahoo Answers profile pic is from the Alps in Switzerland), so I can show some of those to you, if you have a particular interest in any specific place. Happy travels!

Well I think it is a great experience for young people. I went to school in Germany when I was 17 and then traveled around. I liked it so much and learned so much about different cultures. I also got to see some really beautiful, romantic towns and citys and castles of course. I liked Europe so much I that I moved back years later and now live in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Are you going to go with your family or with school?
If you have any questions you may email me.

Yess you should go! I'm 17 so kind of near your age and I absolutely loved. I've been to a few countries in Europe- France, Spain, Italy, England and Czech Republic.
Do it for sure, surprisingly, many Americans do not travel internationally and it is SUCH an amazing experience, everyone needs to get out at least once.
Good teen travel programs to consider are: ASA, Abbey Road, EIL International

I'm living in Ireland, I moved here when i was 13 (5 years ago) from New York. I love Europe. I think it would be a great experience for you to visit, it will really broaden your horizons. And I'm talking for anywhere in Europe really, cause I've been to the majority of countries here, and liked them all. If you want to know any more about it let me know.
