I will tell you my story and maybe it will help you decide. When I was 21, I was married and gave birth to my second son. My husband had another son from his first wife. I figured I had three boys and did not want four. So I had my had my tubes tied. A year later I was divorced from my husband. four years later, I got remarried to the man of my dreams. He had never been married before me and had no children. Ever since my son was 2 yrs old, I have desired to have another baby. Since I married my husband four years ago, I have been depressed that I am not unable to give him a baby of his own. We have tried the whole adoption process and even almost adopted a baby girl we were fostering. We fell in love with this baby and had her from the time she was 5 weeks old until she was just over 3 months. Child protective services allowed her mother to give the baby to her cousin. I know this is a lot of information, but I just think all women should just take birth control until you are positive you are done having children. I do not wish my heartache on anyone.

That really isn't a question you should ask someone. You and only you know whether or not you should have more than two children. Getting your tubes tied means that if you change your mind later in life theres no turning back. It's solely your decision. Two children is a handful so it all depends on what you want. If you are responsible, a loving mother, financial stable and willing to have another child then why not have one more. Three is good. If both of your kids are girls then you want a third so you can have a boy or vice versa. I am 23 and I don't have any kids yet but I am hoping to start trying next year. Me personally, I think two or three children is fine. Good luck.

I am 24 and expecting number 2 any day.And I am going to get my tubes tied, my husband has 1 from a previous marriage and I have 1 and now we will have 1 and that is plenty for us. This doesn't live with us but we pay 600 a month for child support. And I hate being pregnant I have been on bed rest since I was 26weeks and now I am off bed rest but so far along nothing is comfortable and can't wait to get this baby out of my body.

That depends....are you wanting more children later? Is there even the slightest possibility that you'd want another child after this?

My personal opinion is no...I don't think women should get their tubes tied. I think it's their man's way of being a stubborn coward. Vasectomies are much easier to do, much easier to reverse and WAY less invasive! Any man that would make his wife/partner get her tubes tied cause he is afraid of having his "manhood" cut on is a wimp...plain 'n simple. HOWEVER, if you and your hubby are completely sure that you'll want no more children and you are having a c-section to deliver this baby, then go ahead...one less surgery for you!

Good luck with your decision!

Depends on what state you live in. Here in the state of Washington you cannot get your tubes tied til you've had 3 kids or if you're under 25.

You should discuss this with the person who got you pregnant and see what he says about it.

Yes, you can get pregnant when your tubes are tied. My brother is living proof! My mother had her tubes tied after she had me and five years later guess who was born! Take a test and use protection! Getting your tubes tied won't solve the problem...just help.

NO NO NO!!!
I did after my second child and now I'm with a new man and he doesn't have any children and I cant give him one unless I have the reversal which is very expensive.Just do birth control.

tell your husband to get snipped...it only hurts for about a year or so! ok, maybe not THAT long

Unless you know for sure that birth control works for you. 3 different types of birth controls and 3 babies...and yes, she was taking it.

lol, I am pondering the same! I really don't want any more kids, but I am young, only 21 and worried if something happens to my husband would I want more? I dunno, think about your age, finacial burdens, and talk to your husband/boyfriend. I am not much help, being in the same boat!
