If they are photos, you can upload them into websites. If they are drawn I think the best thing to do is to have your art scanned to a CD by a place like Will Copy, quite cheap actually. So then you can download your art into your documents or pictures and eventually a website or whatever you plan to do with them. You can also submit your art to www.webshots.com.

You might not want to do that so freely because you may run into problems later with people who might download your material and clain it as theirs.
Advertising thru the internet is fine.
