I find it weird that our b-days are 3 months apart. He is a true Aries-he's headstrong, loud, and impatient and i'm a true Leo-gorgeous, showy, and queen-like.

Based ONLY on your Sun Signs, that is a good match since both Aries and Leo are Fire Signs. The three months apart thing is called a Trine and is a very favorable Aspect, but only ONE of MANY!!!
So, it depends upon the WHOLE Birth Charts of BOTH of you as to what your relationships strengths and weaknesses are. I suggest you have an Astrologer do a Natal Chart for each of you and then a Synastry Chart of the two to see ALL the dynamics of the relationship.
