Since he is leaving because he was forced out...should the "team" still have a party? Is it appropriate?

If he was a good guy, but just the victim of circumstance, I would say yes, throw him a party... But if he left alot to be desired, I would just throw something AT him... HARD!!!

If you like him, then yes. It's appropriate. If he was a heinous boss that no one could stand, then no. Don't have a party.
