As an ex nurse I can assure you that nurses are not the least bit interested in wearing stockings and suspenders, neither do they have any interest in their patients on a sexual level. I think perhaps you have been watching too much television.

I think there are, possibly, about four of the Carry On films that address this area of interest. I say 'possibly' because I didn't actually make an accurate measure of which of them actually featured scenes in which the tops of nurses' legs could be clearly seen. Clearly an area for in-depth research carried out systematically and methodically.

No they do not.
Typically the "nurses" that you see wearing said articles of clothing are actresses pretending to be nurses for the whole of 3 minutes before they subcumb to their carnal desires.
In real life, nurses are not in the least bit interested in their patients in that kind of way. And patients and not in the least bit disposed for anything other than a large dose of vicodin.
