The legend of Emma Sutton: (This is a true story and the legend is still very real to the people of rural Van Buren County, Arkansas)

Emma Sutton was born in the 1880's at Nogo, Arkansas. She was raised in the rural mountains of this part of Arkansas. For the most, her life was pretty good. She married young, had a daughter and four sons and she and her husband (James) made their living by farming. Emma loved jewelry and her husband would buy her rings, etc., every year for Christmas. Time passed by and Emma's husband passed away. Her daughter moved to Southern California. Her sons built houses on their fathers land. In the winter of 1945 Emma because very sick and "passed away" within a couple of days of the sick onset. It was tradition (in those days) to bury the deceased as quickly as possible to prevent anyone else from getting sick. So, Emma was buried by her sons, other family and neighbors the next morning. Two weeks later her daughter arrived back from California to collect her mothers jewelry. Unfortunately, her brothers had buried their mother with her beloved jewelry. The daughter became very angry and demanded that her mother be exhumed and the jewelry be given to her. This had actually been in Emma's Will. The brothers hired two neighbors to dig up their mother and retrieve the jewelry. What they saw has been told for generations. Emma had turned completely around in her casket. She had torn her fingernails off tring to dig out of it. Also, she had unbuttoned her dress and taken off her shoes. Emma had been buried alive! But was now very much dead and there was nothing that anyone could do except for taking off the jewelry and burying her again. The family was devastated. A few days after the re-burial people began to report seeing Emma. Different people would see her on the road side outside the cemetary, at her old homeplace, at her grave and in the woods beyond the cemetary. My own grandparents have claimed to see her. Her spirit is also suppose to be extremely angry to have been buried alive

Well, this scary story is so far-fetched that surely it could never happen.

But suppose ... just suppose ... that somebody won the US presidential election in 2000 by about a half-million popular votes nationwide, and then the US Supreme Court stopped the vote count in Florida and appointed the guy that lost the popular vote.

And then that appointed President dumped the Kyoto treaty, and started a war with a country that was not a threat to the US, and bankrupted the US government by giving huge tax breaks to the wealthy.

Now that is a scary story, but it could never happen.

Could it?

The lady called the local police station. She stated that she lived in a basement flat and that the man in the flat above has been working on his motor cycle and spilled some oil. The oil was now dripping through the ceiling. The police arrived and when they forced entry into the upstairs flat, they found the man dead in front of an electric fire and his fat had begun to melt............. true not an urban myth.............
