Amenhotep and Nefertiti - fairly simple to make if you get some cardboard, gold spray paint and ankh's...paint each other's eyes like they did...and get some white cotton at the fabric store to use as your clothing...make the collars and the headpieces from the cardboard/spraypaint them with the gold. A black straight wig for her...if he is bald then that is easy.
They were actually Royal Egyptian husband and wife.

A lot of party stores and costume companies offer couples costumes. My favorite is ketchup and mustard, but I also liked the plug and socket, and salt and pepper. You could probably even hand make these costumes or variations of them. Like you wear all white and print "salt" on your tshirt, he wears all black with "pepper" printed on his.
