Norwich have turned to West Ham assistant manager Peter Grant to take over as Canaries boss, with a deal set to be sealed early next week.The 41-year-old former Celtic midfielder will watch Norwich's Championship clash at QPR on Saturday from the stands, leaving caretaker manager Martin Hunter in charge at Loftus Road.
Grant, who made 75 appearances for the Canaries between 1997-1999 before joining the Upton Park outfit, will be officially named on Monday once the two clubs agree a compensation package.
Grant told the club's official website: "I'm absolutely delighted at the opportunity to manage a great club like Norwich.
"I can't wait to get started - I'm raring to go and looking forward to getting stuck into the challenge of getting the club back up the table and challenging for promotion.
"Norwich were the first club to bring me to England as a player and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Carrow Road. It's the fantastic people around the place as well as the massive potential of the club that's combined to tempt me away from the Premiership."

I dont think you can go far wrong with Alan Curbishley although lf I was the chairman of Hull City, I would pay Norwich to take Phil (haven't got a clue Parkinson) and I would get Curbishley to manage Hull. He knows how to get the best out of players and dosnt spend loads on players. He is also very loyal, look how long he stayed at Charlton. Loyalty is a rare and valuable thing in football nowadays.

Former Celtic and Norwich player. Crap in his days on the pitch, but has done a good apprenticeship in terms of coaching so might be decent.
