Your carpet is toast

Spot dyeing will only work if you use bleach neutralizer first, If not it will not adhere to the fibers. You can find bleach neutralizer at janitorial supply companies. If the carpet is within 3 years of age or less a patch done by a professional installer is another alternative. If you do not have any left over scraps from the same carpet, take a piece out of a less used closet, then replace the carpet in closet as close as you can to the oringinal dye lot as possible.

Diluted bleach or pure bleach. You didnt say. Some carpets can resist diluted bleach. Pure bleach of 40% though... tsk tsk.
If the color hasnt changed yet, you're in luck. Get a carpet cleaner and remove as much bleach as you can.
If it had bleached it white completely, plan on changing the carpet. Meanwhile, remove the bleach first, as it might cause the underlay below it which is made out of rubberized material, to emit some toxic fumes. And this is assuming that it was pure bleach type that disintegrates the grime on your bathroom tiles.

Go to the store and buy Rit Dyes put half of the powder in a small bowl, and add boiling hot water and mix. You can use as much as you think then with a cloth blot it on the rug,,wait at least 1/2 hour to set and take wet paper towel and blot the spot,it will remove and excess .save this solution and see how the carpet is the next day, if you need to do it again, heat it in the Microwave and continue again. This dye works on small area rugs for me So I would think it should be ok for you.

Was that an accident? You aren't supposed to pour chlorine bleach on colors.

Yeah... NO, that's pretty much it for your carpet. Maybe have a table or an area rug put over the spot. Hopefully it is just a SPOT!

Contact your local carpet cleaners and ask them if they dye carpet. Several do, and will be able to dye the spot tan again. If no one in your area does that, contact a carpet layer, depending on how old your carpet is, if it can be matched, they can splice the area and put in a new piece.

If possible, try a throw rug or area rug to cover the spot. Or, you could try dying it with very strong tea. Just pour the tea little by little and see if it would blend in with your tan colored carpet.
Good luck.
