Honestly I think the person who has the piercing is the one who can make it sexy, trashy or classy. It's not about whether you have it or not, but how you carry yourself. It may sound wierd but you can dress it up or down. I've had a navel ring since I was 16 and I love it!!!

A belly button piercing is difficult to heal for many reasons. Clothing and sweat can irritate your belly button piercing. Swimming in poorly chlorinated waters can cause infection. Because a navel piercing can take 6 months to a year to heal it is an easy target for re-infection if not properly cared for. Get a stick-on.

Nothing trashy about it...a person can be trashy with or without a navel piercing...I've had mine done for years and like it (I'm 41)...
Remember though, it's one of the slowest to heal places of the body to pierce so take that into consideration...
Enjoy!

I'm iffy about them...some of the little things that people put look ridiculous, and it sometimes looks trashy. I'd stay away from anything too big or flashy or shiny, but yours sounds fine. Remember to think about it carefully though, you don't want to do anything that you'll regret in the future.

I have one and I don't see what would be trashy about it. Many men tell me its classy, its not like getting a tongue ring which on the other hand is kinda no no.

They are cute, but more trouble than they are worth. Your navel is the dirtiest place on your body, you can compare it to toxic waste, therefore your risking infection and possibly disfugurement.
