Royaume-Uni means 'united kingdom'.
In french "The United Kingdom of Great Britain" is called as "Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne"
The United Kingdom is a political union made up of four constituent countries: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The United Kingdom also has several overseas territories, including Bermuda, Gibraltar, Montserrat and Saint Helena among others.

Vinu does very well with his/her answer, though the United Kingdom is England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands (Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney & Sark) & the Isle of Man. Bermuda etc, are British Protectorates, and members of the Commonwealth but NOT the UK.
The French also use the term 'Grand Bretagne' which is Great Britain (UK minus Northern Ireland, Channel Islands & Isle of Man)
The Channel Islands each has its own parliament,as does N Ireland & Isle of Man (The Tynwald, which is the worlds oldest democratic parliament). Sark incidentally does not allow non-agricultural motor vehicles.
