I'd just brush it and keep it well-trimmed. It looks nice in the pic with the red shirt; don't mess with a good thing.
That said, I have similar hair, and sometimes get tired of the pony-tail bit -- and go for slightly shorter, slightly layered, with a VERY light perm. A 'body wave.'
But I also concur with the 'sassy bob' idea... Do a Google image search for 'bobbed hair' for some ideas.
