It is not you!!!
It is the Manufactura! So Danca shoes are all like that. There jazz and lyrical (ghilles) dont buy So Danca.
Im a tapper and jazzer and hiphopest and lyicalist.
I reccomend Bloch. They are good and have been in use for me almost three years and there still in good shape. The only thing is they are about $75 dollars i think so if you dont want to pay that much i reccommend buying Capizzio the second best brand.

So yes i hope this helped

no shoe repair place carries the steel, metal plates anymore. the cleats are all plastic. also the nails used in toe area have to be thick in the sole, so you don't feel the nails. I have a ladies size 11 wide. I cannot find tap shoes on line anywhere to fit my feet. I had to actually give up my dance because nobody will make shoes for me, unless I pay like 200 dollars for custom made. shame there are still some all America people in this country who have big feet and nobody wants to accommodate us because our size is so out numbered...

I wear a 14W (Mens), and when I was tapping, I actually had to get some made. It's not as bad as it sounds, because you can go buy normal leather soled dress shoes ( I actually used workboots, but girls need heels I guess) and any shoe repair shop can attach the taps for you. Good luck, and have fun!

there is nothing wrong with wearing tap shoes. Who cares what size your feet are. My feet are a size 71/2 and I don't care what people think.
