Free speech must not be curtailed so that grievances and demands will be properly expressed by the people to the government.

I don't know that they are. But there was a time in American history when there werent 500 different channels and an infinite access to infinite sources of news on the internet, with 500 different messages which is leading to a chaotic, non-cohesive culture. Before people didn't feel the need to start radical movements and spread radical ideas like gay marriage. People used to be more civil in their protests of government of their own nature, so even if the gov does want to limit free speech to some moderate extent, it may not be a bad thing.

America is a like a child that was once well behaved all on its own, but then started becoming disobedient and questioning everything just for the sake of relieving boredom, and for the sake of being disobedient, so then the parent has to step in and tell them to be quiet.

There was a time when people didn't say things like "B---tch" and "thats so gay", and said please and thank you on their own, and weren't so vulgar.

They don't. The republicans support all of the constitution, the Dems only invoke the 5th amendment.
