how should my lawn be set up?

I have a tombstone, a scarecrow, a bat that is supposed to be put in the ground, two wooden pumpkins:a big one and a small one that has light up eyes, a lantern, and some fake cobwebs.

The lawn consists of several large bush trees in front of a window that is next to the door. there is a brick walkway running btwn my driveway and the lawn, and a lamp post surrounded by flowers is by the walkway.

how should i set the stuff up and is there anything i should add (nothing grusome my neighbors have small children)

Get lots of orange & purple lights to go in your bushes!!! Then drape them with the spider web. What you need to do is look at your house from the street & plan the decorations from there.
Will the children come to your house down the driveway to the sidewalk? Then set up your stuff along that path. In order to avoid running to the door all night - why not sit at the porch in lawn chairs & hand out the candy? Also, get a fog machine to go under the bushes - that will really contribute to the whole spooky atmosphere!!! You need to add lots of pumpkins!! Carve as many as possible, light them all up!!!! Happy Halloween!!!

Martha Stewart used to get some really freaky squash and combine several of them to make ghouly creatures. Additionally, if you take some cardboard and paint, you could make a bunch of tombstones with funny sayings, like at Disneys Haunted Mansion. "Here lies my brother Ned, A giant boulder fell on his head".

Also if you set up a "Bloody" punch bowl with real punch for the treaters, you take some green dyed water and freeze it in an enclosed mask to let it float on top and stare out at everybody. You can do hands too with some medical gloves, just pour the water into the gloves and tie them on the end before placing in the freezer. It is eat and spooky to see these things in the punch.

excellent!

I suggest you wear a costume too... to greet the trick or treater's when they come to the door.

My suggestion for a costume this year: Catwoman. Original black rubber and all.

Now that would make halloween interesting at your place!
