Can you believe that someone running for the Liberal Leadership would actually say this??
"Drivers will have to pay traffic congestion charges and higher prices for gas and parking if Canada is to reduce gridlock and pollution, Liberal leadership hopeful Bob Rae said Friday. "
As usual, the Liberal Party of Canada wants to tax the man in the street for a problem that needs fixing at higher levels. I don't have a car and I walk everywhere, but I feel that hitting the man in the street with yet another financial burden is going to do nothing for us. What do you think?

Bob Rae formally of the NDP almost bankrupted Canada's wealthies Province - So now he is a grit and he's al better now?

The amount of taxes collected in the country are sick and we the people are not seeing anywhere near half of it come back in sevices .

I has just occured to me recently this liberal leadership will be the first time in many years that it will not be led by someone who formally worked for-under Trudeau

Paul Martin Jean Chretian John Turner all formerly in Trudeau's government and had him as their boss .

This will be a change a radical change I think of what we percieve as liberal in Canada I always had a therory that Trudeau advised Chretian and the others were haunted by him - This time he isn't anything more than a guy n a book they might have met once at a party -

Going back to Rae when he was elected I remember my employer ( wealthy lawyer) saying that Rae being Premier was the rough equvilant to waking up in a gutter and finding out you were married to a prostitute with AIDS

I think that, shockingly, rae is correct on this one. If you want more people to take public transit/walk/etc, you need to make the economic incentives stronger to do so.
