BEHIND BLUE EYES - was recently redone by Limp Bizkit, Sheryl Crow and others but was originally by THE WHO. The Limp Bizkit version stays pretty true although they added some lyrics but the original WHO'S NEXT version rules.
Duality by Slipknot doesn't necessarily "make me cry" (well neither do the other songs but they can make me sad or deepen my sadness if I happen to be sad) but it does get to me in an odd way.
Songs that also touch me, but in other ways, include NO QUARTER by Led Zepplin, CAUSE WE'VE ENDED AS LOVERS by Jeff Beck and STRANGE KIND OF WOMAN by Deep Purple. OH, another good song was Imogene Heap/Jeff Beck doing ROLLIN AND TUMBLIN.
You know my mind is a blank - once when I was driving a long, long way every song that came on was killing me, but that was a while ago and I can't remember the songs involved. But it was one of those wierd times when it was almost as if the people putting on the songs were tapped directly into me - you know, late at night, middle of nowhere, and every song was just KILLING me.
Why you need sad songs? Too happy? Enjoy it while you can.
