If they left you, they obviously are not "the one". To many people don't
even know what true love is. What if "the one" gained a lot of weight, or lost their legs, or got a terminal illness. Would most of these people still consider them "the one"?

It's easier to think back to happier times and want to go back to that place in time. People just don't realize that most of the time, you just can't go back.

Going backward anyway isn't a good thing. If that was a door that was meant to be reopened, then the opportunity will re-present itself and you will be on the same page at the same time without anyone stalking, or pursuing someone that has obviously moved on.

I agree. People should leave things alone. If it were meant to be it would have been......or it will occur again on it's own without intervention or interferance from either party.

I glad you said that, I'm sick of people asking that because if they were the one they would not of left! People need to find out what love is all about! And before you can call a person the one you need to know are they a good provider, will they be there if childs come in to play, and are you going to support you through everything not just the good days!

Its because they are to busy looking in the past to see the happiness they could have today... its sad really... but it can take months or even years to move on... expecally if it was a tragic loss.. sudden death.. or something along those lines... dont judge man your not pushin up daisys quite yet... tomorrow you might be in the same boat ;)

What is "the one"? "The ones" come and go. I think, to even pretend like out of all the people who had ever lived in the world there IS just one "the one" for everyone is pretty much insane.

Your absolutely right but at that point in their life they honestly believe that the person they lost is "the one".
Not until their feelings change for this person do they realize that it wasn't so. It's a learning experience everyone goes through.

people ask this question because nobody actually knows the answer.

" when people really leave, they ain't gonna come back ?"

believe me.

when a leaf falls in fall they don't come back in the spring, however some new leaves do.

They think that person is "the one" until they meet the next "one". Then comes "I've NEVER felt this way before", even though they feel that way with everyone they date.
