i have stop getting the shot and suppose to went to get it in july and did not. not pregant have took test . when do u think it will show up because i need to lose some weight fast this birth control made me gain alot of weight . need advice-

I was on the shot for 3 yrs it took a year for my periods to come back. The weight gain is hard to get off. You probably wont be able to lose it until your hormones return to normal. All of the sites for Depo say that it usually takes a year for your periods to come back.

My daughter was put on Depo provera and did not get her periods back at all. She gained alot of wt from it and now has hyperprolactin leverls.

If you've read any of the info on depo (there are websites online you can check this out) it can take up to a year for your cycle to resume and/or for you to be able to conceive.
