"[H]e does have the capacity, as all terrorist-related operations do, of smuggling stuff into the United States and doing something terrible. That is true. But there's been no connection, hard connection made yet between he and al-Qaida or his willingness or effort to do that thus far. Doesn't mean he won't. This is a bad guy."

Who said Iraq wasn't a threat? We'll never know because the Saddam regime will never get the chance to develop WMD's like N Korea has. Hitler was viewed as no threat when he started taking over Poland in the mid 1930's. How many people died taking care of Hitler, who again was believed to be no threat to the US?

Even if Saddam wasn't targeting the USA, he was doing nothing for middle east peace. He was giving like $25,000 to families of Palistinian suicide bombers. He sponsered terrorism and I have no doubt that he would of helped al quida if he had the chance. Do you think Iran would of turned down the opportuinity to get weapons off of Iraq? Lord knows we gave Saddam enough time to move out WMD's. I will never EVER buy this idea that Iraq posed no threat.
