I was under the impression that Cal. was operating always in a deficit. Is that still true? I think Cal. and NY have the highest tax rates in the country, but I'm not sure if that's what you mean.
Cal. does have a lot of extremely rich movie stars, so income-wise maybe that makes it the wealthiest?
