heavy enough to carry the load for the heat strips?(the run is 20ft to a 200a breaker box).

6/2 is big enough to run the heat strips.

run a 10/2 for the air handler

and run an 8/2 for the condenser (out side unit)

hillbily is right execpt you can also run 10 ga for the condenser.because,you want to run stranded wire ,and you cant get 8 ga stranded [solid only]
