It's possible to have sex with a person you don't know, someone you hate, or someone who turns you on but you STILL don't like them.
Sex is a physical act, there's no denying that... but when two people love each other and are intimate during sex, it's elevated to a much, MUCH higher plain.

Yep, it's possible, but harder for the woman to do than for the man. Women need the emotional connection to WANT the physical connection (most times) and men must have the physical connection in order to get to the emotional connection.
But, I won't lie....while actively in the marriage, I was frequently so DISGUSTED with my husband and the things he said or did that I didn't want to be touched AT ALL. But he was the greatest lover I've ever had. Now that I am emotionally freeing myself and getting out of the marriage......I would LOVE to only share a physical relationship with him, but get my emotional needs met elsewhere. Reason being, I don't trust him, don't like his personality overall (though he was loving and gentle at times.....and then an azzhole the rest of the time) so........to keep it simple and physical would be great.......but men usually desire a certain level of control. ESPECIALLY control over a woman's kitty. SOOOOOO, yeah, I don't think my little wish would ever come true.....but I'd LOVE it if he would.
=)

Don't worry, this happens to all married people eventually.
Even if you get married for love, that doesn't mean you are going to love that person forever, or going to love them every day. Those feelings fade, but that doesn't mean that you will not have sex because that is a normal human need and bodily function, and also even though you don't feel loved or connected to the other person, doesn't mean that you don't want to please them, and sex is a easy way to do that.

Yes, it is very possible. I for instance have sex with my hubby out of duty and not for love. In fact I always pray for the cup to pass over me fast each time we have to make love.

heather if you don't love your husband get counseling - but it might be hurting him as well if you are just doing it to go through the motions of what marriage is supposed to be. Talk to him, is there something physically unattractive about him that you don't like? Has he gained weight, started drinking? Sit down and talk to him.

Yes of course, sex doesn't have anything to do with intimacy. You can have wild crazy sex, and have no emotion attached to it. Or you can have boring habitual sex and have no emotions attached to it (like most married couples).

Its not good, but possible.
Its like the couple that are dating each other for the sex, and always fight.
