Lottie, age 56, female, straight.
Yes, I support it. However, I think all marriages should be civil unions first-- and if someone wants to have a wedding or party afterwards, then go for it.
Good luck on your project.

No, no, no. no, NO!

Marriage is essentially a Christian institution. Christianity is opposed to homosexuality. Therefore, the very concept of homosexual marriage is a complete farce.

However, homosexuals definitely do deserve more rights under law than they have traditionally had. Especially in connection with matters of estate.

A civil contract is sufficient to ensure that this is facilitated.

Homosexuals are within their rights to turn the signing of such a contract in to some kind of public ceremony if they so wish. But this is one homophobic bigot who won't be seen dead at such a grotesque parody of a long-standing heterosexual institution.

Yes I support it because I think everyone should be allowed to be married and it isn't fair if they don't because people think it's weird.
I don't think it matters that it goes against someone's religion. Alot of people that say no are narrow minded and who are we to say they can't get married.Plus it really doesn't hurt anybody. So it's not like the world will end if homosexuals get married. Sam, Girl, 13

Frankly, I don't think it is any of my business what consenting adults do if no one is hurt. Marriage is a decision between two consenting adults, therefore, it is none of my business. I think the government should grow up and realize this is supposed to be a free country. We have no right to tell people who they should or should not marry! I am a female adult and my name is "Friend of Tesla".

You know, Im not really sure. I mean marriage is kinda of a traditional thing. Something that I think should really only be between a man and a woman. I don't have a problem with homosexual people, but I think marriage is more for a man and a woman.

Yes. I support it. I can get married and they (gay people) should have the same rights I do as an American. I'm a 28 year old gal.
