My boyfriend said that he heard on the Paul Harvey News that scientists somewhere were able to teleport a document 3 feet. I have a hard time believing this and can't find anything about it anywhere on the internet....just wondering, did anyone else hear the same thing he did?? or is he's hearing things? I think he misunderstood something.

an atom sounds more possible.....he tends to only half way pay attention to things he hears and then fills in the gaps himself......thus my reluctance to believe this was true.

you may be right about them teleporting an atom and writing a document about it....sounds like something that he could turn into teleporting a document....I knew he'd gotten something mixed up....

There has been an atom teleported ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/3811785.stm )

As for a document...well...I don't know. Current "teleportation" teleports information attached to particles, not the particles themselve.

I heard that they were able to teleport an atom with a particle of light...not a document though. Give them a few years!

As far as I know they haven't been able to do a whole document. That would be pretty awesome though!
