It was fine until about 5pm today. And I have not been able to connect using it since. I haven't downloaded anything new and haven't changed any settings. I have run all my anti-virus, ad-aware and spybot and it's still not working. HELP!
I'm using my laptop if you are wondering how I am connecting now!

I have tried several websites and it's not that.
It's the error "page you are looking is currently unavailable" but I have tried loads of pages. I run my laptop off the same router and have done for months and it's working fine.

i think your firewall may be blocking any acess to the internet, try disabling your firewall, then see if you can connect to the internet, if you can its your firewall.you will need to reinstall your firewall. if not contact your internet server. i had this problem recently. hope this helps.

If it's the same for any website and rebooting your router doesn't work then it's almost certainly your ISP.
Even the best of them suffer hardware problems, denial of service attacks or problems when upgrading software.
Find something else to do for a couple of hours; read a book, go for a walk or watch TV: the choice is endless.

Go to File and see if its in offline mode.
What anti virus and firewall are you using? Most will disconnect if you try to download an infected file, does that ring any bells? Open the logs and see if anything happened.
Have you got your system immunised with Spybot, and have you got Teatimer running? That should protect against most problems.

yeah sometimes that happens to me check the wires on the back of your computer make sure all of them are connected
chek the wire that goes to the phone jack
after that if its still not running shut off your computer and wait about an hour if that doesn't work follow the instructions when the internet page goes "page cannot be displayed".

Are you on wireless, this has happened to me, if so turn off at the socket for the router and turn back on a few times, sometimes it in terms crashes. This worked for me and my daughter on her laptop.

Turn the power off on computer and modem at wall for at least 10seconds then restart, should solve a lot of problems when modem re-boots itself.

You need to be more specific. If it's a 404 error, the likelihood is that the server' you're attempting to connect to is down.
