I wasn't around for it, but I'd say the creation of language, when humans first communicated a complicated thought to other humans. Everything comes from that.

This is too narrow of a question, since the mankind has done so many prolifics things during its existence that to mention one, others are left behind... fire, language and others are notable ones... however the latest prolific event of mankind is still years away, however it is still to be determined if it should be done or not... however I so... and I believe that will be automobiles that convert into aviator systems, however that is a bunch of sci-fi from me... but language and fire, are two of the greatest prolific events in human history.....
