Yeah I heard it and it makes me mad. Look at past cartoons that were so popular. Bugs bunny wore more dresses and girly getups than any woman ever has. Daffy duck has done the same thing. The only reason why they were not considered gay was because they introduced girls that they liked. Spongebob is supposed to be a kid at heart. He is supposed to act strange and kiddish. Look at younger kids they would act simularly to him.

i read an article about some religious fundie blowing a gasket about how spongebob was gay, but the creators of the show laughed it off.
unless he's shown on the show actually having sex with a male character, how can anyone say he's gay?
and if he is gay--so what?

Spongbob IS NOT GAY!!! Dude they cleared that up 2 seasons ago. Plus they did so in the Movie too. He is happy go lucky and a kid at heart but not gay. Mr. Krabs would be if they really had to choose someone.

Ugh! There's probably a rumor going around about every show, movie, singer, celebrity, etc. saying that they're gay. Enough already. Who cares? Why give the gays so much attention??

as high as he appears he has to be happy
to be homosexual would require that he: a) possess gentalia, B) have a similarly equiped partner of his species, and C) a sex life.
to my knowledge, being a kitchen sponge in the ocean, he lacks all 3
