There are some academic hot spots, usually near major universities, national labs, or technology companies. Some examples are Cambridge, MA, Silicon Valley and Berkeley, CA, Oak Ridge, TN, Princeton, NJ, etc.

do you mean kinda like in that new show that was on abc family, eureka? if so, im not sure about that but it sure is a great new show...cant wait for next season...:)
