I was going to say apple bee's, tgif, ruby tuesday, olive garden are all good chained resturants that are better than fast food but i do believe they all have the option to buy alchol if you want it. the only other chain resturant that i can think of that doesnt server alchol is Friendly's however thier seating is usually small and cramped not the best if going with more than two or three ppl. You could always try a chinese buffet place they usually dont serve alchol.

That's interesting - no alcohol. That's pretty tough unless you can find a restaurant in a "dry" county, which are mostly in the South. (What area of the U.S. are you in?)
Some non-fast food chains that come to mind that don't serve alcohol include Golden Corral and some cafeteria-type places - those are often in the South. I can't think of any place out West, in the Midwest or in the Northeast that doesn't serve alcohol. Restaurants overseas in traditionally Muslim nations often don't serve alcohol.
Why the anti-alcohol stance? I don't drink either, but I don't mind going to a restaurant that serves alcohol. Just curious.

IHOP, Denny's, Perkins...any of these are alright and don't serve any alcohol. For good eats at a reasonable price (there's a bar) try texas roadhouse.
