I need to have my resume re-written badly and I am willing to pay for it! I just don't know where to go as there are quite a few that are expensive! I'm a Marketing Professional.

I saw a couple postings about using a template or doing it myself. I have already tried that route to no avail! I have 12 years of high level brand marketing experience.

I actually was looking for the same answer about 2 months ago! I saw a posting somewhere on this site where someone else recommended a company called "Resume Rebuilders" so I decided to check them out too.

I ended up hiring them and I was very impressed with how my resume turned out! I'm an Accountant in the San Francisco Bay area and it wasn't easy for me to express myself in my resume. Tell them that Jennifer Krause referred you and they will give you a discount of only $60.00 for the resume and $20 for a cover letter. Some special thing they do for referrals I guess. So, I and my husband both did it! Very much worth the price (especially considering how much some of these other fricken places wanted!) and it was a pleasure to work with them! www.resumerebuilders.com That's my suggestion!

Good luck!

Jen

Okay updated 2015 answer: NEVER use the template on word. It's okay to trust these services. Many of them are trustworthy and have been in the business for years. I used Let's Eat, Grandma resume service. They're a good group, and they did a good job.

Is it that bad? If it's not really bad, try to do it yourself with a template in Word. If it's that bad, then definitely try the professional route. It'll make a big difference! Go with the Resume Rebuilders suggestion.

There is a resume site on line that can help you with that. Search for resumes and go to the part that fits your type of business. They will have copies for you to download and follow to help you fill one out.

Call your local college and ask someone that teaches business courses.

Some people (not all though) come on here pretending to help, but it's a disguised effort to steer you toward an online biz. Besides, once your info is out there you are "trusting" someone with all your personal data and credit card info.

I'm always a skeptic - lol. Just call your local college bc they will know someone locally who you can communicate with. I always like to deal locally when possible.
