It is a myth..... I live in Alberta, Canada and i've lived in canada my whole life I've never heard anybody say it unless they were just joking.
Some Canadians say "eh" a lot. Yes that is a given. However I don't see what the big deal here is. I know a lot of Americans that say "y'all" with everything. Not every Canadian says "eh" either.

They do. I'm one... "they" tend to say it after a question or suggestion that "they" want you to agree with. For example. Do you want to go out tonight? Eh. or Look at that "Avatar" of overweight Edna, looks like shes about to eat her way out of the picture. Eh?

I think it's a myth, eh. They actually do say it- they even sound funnier then you guys saying "f.ag" for cigarette, etc! Or "ello" for hello, how about "smashing" and "good show"! And so on...

I'm from Toronto, Canada and I don't say "eh". I also don't know anybody who says it either.
