the dvd-vr u cant copy over if u mess up the dvd -r u can

DVD + R, DVD -R you can write to once. DVD RW and DVD RAM are rewritable. I believe that DVD VR is DVD RAM. They are not compatable with most dvd players. DVD + and - are compatable with most players.
