being old does have it's advantages. you never really fool yourself, never. you do, however, lie to yourself like a dog. sometimes you're really good and you pull it off temporarily, but when you do it always comes back to bite you in the butt. how do you tell yourself i told you so?...lol.............prime example: every year i tell myself i can work just one more year. this year the lie is gonna bite me in the butt...

Not at all. How easy is it for you to convince me that I could?
Ooops...you want an example here...oookkkkaayy.
I will never fool myself in believing that I can be fooled.
Even though, I may be a fool for believing that.

Easy? It's a piece of cake.
Just check out the divorce rate. All of those people fooled themselves into believing they would stay together forever.
I'm one of those statistics.

Not too hard, ha ha, I'm an idiot. The other day I told myself I had a phone call and when I went to pick it up, nobody was there! The phone hadn't even rang! I do that crap to myself all the time, I'm such a retard!

It ain't easy, everytime I try to lie to myself, tried to make myself beleive that I'm happy it doens't works.
For example when you think that you're lucky, smart, etc to make yourself happy,
or when you smile at the mirror to try to trick yourself to convince yourself that you're happy.
