a little background..... I´m Irish but live in Spain... my husband is argentinian... we are expecting our first baby and want to give it an unusual name (but not one so unusual the kid gets beaten up over it)... anyway if its a girl i want the name Trinity.... 3 reasons for this...
1. The Holy Trinity (father, son ,holy spirit)
2. Trinity College Dublin (where i´m from)
3. Trinity from the Matrix (just cos she kicks A.S.S)
So give it to me straight.... is it a good name or a stupìd one?
P:S her surname will be Herrera

one more thing... please don´t start lecturing me on "parents not having forsight when it comes to naming their children".... obviously i do have forsight thats why im asking opinions before i name her that.... honestly i can´t stand these people who just reply so they can say something negative and give a bit of a lecture....its a simple question.... like the name or not?... doesnt require a lecture from someone who most probably doesnt have kids and never will coz they can´t find anyone to have sex with as they lecture them all the live long day about how to do it right.

i do not trust stereotyping names to a particular team of persons (or the 'scum type of england' as you, particularly offensively if i'm difficulty-free, positioned it) so i don't think of this is 'ghetto' or however. it is like declaring Aubrey for a lady is a 'youngster mom' call at the same time as a number of of center elderly females use it too. That being suggested, i don't love Trinity and that i comprehend a woman with the call and she has had a pair undesirable comments, yet i don't think of there replaced into any logical rationalization why. human beings in basic terms did not like it for his or her personal personal (possibly non secular) motives.

Even though this is what it means in Christianity- the union of the three persons of the Christian God- the Father, Jesus Christ, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, in a single Godhead.
I like the name- go for it!!
But how would they pronounce the name in Spain??
Something to think about....

I like it, and I can think of a #4 for your list of reasons: 4. Trinity Herrera sounds like the name of a secret agent or movie star, which is cool.

Good in my book! It's different and there won't be 100 of them at school! It's nice, a good solid name. It could imply that your child is mutiple in certain things though which certain folks may find a bit odd.
Hey, at the end of the day it will be your child and you both have to choose the name that she will grow up with. It is a huge responsbility! Good luck.

must admit, not keen on it but friend at work has named his son Neo but to be fair he's a complete idiot!
He had the nerve to challenge my choice of name "ellis". In five years when his baby starts school no-one will even remember The Matrix!

It's a pretty name! My daughter has two friends named Trinity so it doesn't seem to be unusual.

Mmm I'm not too keen to be honest...sorry!
There must be plenty of Irish girl names that must go well with Herrera!?
You said if it's a girl....but what if it's a boy?
