It all depends on the environment, the temperature of the gas and ratio of gas to air.
At the right temperature some gases will spontaneously ignite without any trigger.

In the right environment it is safe to say yes gas will ignite by ANY kind of discharge.

It is possible , if the humisity is less than 50% static charges will form and if the gas level is near 100% LEL it will explode.

Possible, yes. In some states its illegal to talk on a cellphone while pumping gasoline, illegal to transport gasoline in a plastic container in a pick-up bed with a plastic liner. Operating rooms go to great lengths to avoid static discharges when oxygen is in use.
