I love Sandi Thom's music because she offers a new sound to a world so consumed with specific artists. She has a mix of pop, indie, rock and almost a little R&B to her sound, at least the songs I've heard, and her song "I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker" tells a story about how life was so much better when we knew so much less. The lyrics are amazing and very impressive, and she touches a soft spot to me at least. I'd recommend checking her out.

i don't like Sandi Thom, or her songs. but i do like the music itself. her music is different from the usual rubbish that is mainstream pop, she doesn't sing about the same things as everyone else, she sings about her life, not big things, but the silly little things that make life good, she sings about stealing the covers, punk rockers with flowers in their hair and moving in. people who sing about their life generally don't sing about anything remotely interesting or funny, Sandi Thom is probably not the best to deliver her music, but the misic is good.

I easily do accept as true with you: rock is greater influential and constructive to the listener. in spite of the undeniable fact that, it relies upon on the place you're finding. If he's bringing up those rappers, then he's incorrect - those guy are not constructive in any respect. yet there is a few previous skool and underground rap it is plenty deeper. whether the mentality nevertheless seems which you may rap approximately "intercourse, funds, drugs, and popularity" to a undeniable diploma. that's like a quota you may fill or something. i'm unsure, i used to be a huge previous skool rap fan whilst i replaced right into a newborn. besides. I do have faith rock is greater influential to the listener, and surely greater constructive. what number little ones learn instruments after listening to "shifting photos" via Rush, as against what number little ones start up rapping after listening to "The Black Album" via Jay-Z? i comprehend Rush made me learn drums, yet Jay-Z in no way prompted me to rap. As according to positivity, i think of rock musicians often a minimum of attempt to place in writing deep songs. they do no longer continually be triumphant, yet I advise, writing significant issues is nearly predicted of a rock musician, that's a purpose. in case you do no longer, you're ridiculed. whilst rock musicians attempt and sing approximately how plenty drugs they take, or what number women they score, they're often labelled as truly attempt problematical. Nickleback's "darkish Horse" album is a impressive occasion right here. "Now, i'm no longer partial to rap. For me, rap is basically bragging, isn't it? that's basically, 'I have been given a huge *** abode, I have been given a huge *** automobile, I have been given a huge *** woman.' very properly mate, stop showing off. Why do no longer you in basic terms study off your finding out to purchase receipt and lace it with misogyny? it is all i'm able to hearken to!" - Russell Howard on rap.

Yes, I do. It's nice to hear something different in the charts, something you can understand and listen to! Her 1st hit about the punk rocker was so very true what she sang about.

I love her music. It's fresh, it's honest and original.

She has a great way of getting herself heard too - someone who deserves to go a long way.
